Are your running into issues with Watch My Back?

Here are a couple of quick steps to try first…

Make sure the verification link or QR code you’re using is current and up to date.

The easiest way to do this is to go back to the site you’re verifying your identity on, and start the activation process again.

Make sure you’re on the latest version of the App, and clear your cache

To do this, go to the App Store (iOS), or Play Store (Android), find Watch My Back, then uninstall and re-install it. This will both clear the cache, and make sure you have the latest version.

Use “Allow Always” permissions rather than “Allow Once”

Choosing “Allow Once” may not work with Watch My Back, and may lead to the app crashing. Throughout a verification, we need to use each permission multiple times (for example, to take multiple photos). On some phones, choosing “Allow Once” will cause the app to crash when taking subsequent photos or videos, as the phone may remove the required permissions while you’re still in the process of verifying.
